5-Year Update: Growth, Healing, and What’s Next

Sep 5, 2025

Miro here (and Amadeus too).

Five years ago we filmed a short, unscripted video about why we started Bestmade. It was just a dad and his son talking about health, struggle, and hope — not trying to sell anything, just trying to connect.

A lot has changed since then. Here’s an update on Amadeus, how our small shop became a global team, and why we’re still committed to helping people live healthier, more natural lives.

Amadeus’ health story

If you’ve followed us for a while, you might’ve seen the video we filmed five years ago: me and my son talking about why we started Bestmade.

When he was a toddler, Amadeus faced serious health challenges: seizures, diet-controlled diabetes, celiac disease, and frequent hospital stays. We tried doctors, specialists, tests, and medications, but nothing fixed the whole picture.

We didn’t give up. We explored natural options: homeopathy, improved nutrition, physical therapy, and a lot of trial and error. It became a lifestyle change, and Amadeus kept pushing through.

There’s a memory from the old video of him climbing therapy steps with his face because he was too weak to use his legs. That determination stuck with him.

Where he is now

Amadeus is 23 and living abroad. He moved to Croatia for school and stayed to build a life there. He travels, rides a bike, works, manages a remote team, and continues to help the company grow from overseas.

He told us in our recent video, I used to be the sick kid. Now I’m just a normal guy doing normal stuff, and that feels really good.

That change — from limited identity to full life — is what natural health helped him reach.

A global family: how BestMade grew

Five years ago we were four people in a small office, doing everything ourselves: packing, customer emails, product copy. Today we’re a 25-person team across the world.

We brought the team together earlier this year — people flew in from Brazil, Canada, and Europe. After an awkward 90 seconds, everyone was hugging like old friends. We asked, “What is Bestmade about?” and everyone answered the same way: “We’re here to help people be healthier.” That meant everything to us.

We’ve expanded our space, upgraded the site, and built tools that help customers choose the right remedies. Growth changed the how, not the why.

Staying true to our mission

We’re not here to replace your doctor. If you need emergency care or have a serious condition, see a doctor. For chronic issues or things that aren’t improving, we want to offer more options and practical tools to help you care for yourself and your family.

Natural remedies aren’t a miracle fix. They’re one piece of a bigger picture that can include diet changes, lifestyle shifts, and mindful routines. During COVID more people started asking questions and looking for alternatives, and that pushed us to keep refining what we do.

New tools: the Remedy Picker and site upgrades

One tool we’re proud of is the Remedy Picker. Tell it what you’re dealing with, and it asks follow-ups like a real homeopath: Is the mucus clear or yellow? Are you hot or cold? It narrows recommendations to fit your specific case.

Fast remedy picker software

We improved site search so you can find targeted remedies for specific experiences, like different types of menopause or headache patterns. We’re also making the Remedy Picker better on mobile because most of us look things up on our phones at odd hours.

What’s next for BestMade

We’re building more: new courses about natural remedies, more tools to choose the right products, and better ways to support your health journey. I’m handing more of the daily work to Amadeus and the team so they can bring fresh energy and ideas.

Everything we build comes back to one mission: help people live better, naturally. And we’re just getting started.

Thank you, community

Thank you. If you’ve been here from the start or you joined last month, your support and stories keep us going. We’re a family-run business, and you’re part of that family.

Here’s to the next five years. Let’s keep growing, healing, and living well together.
