My 80 yr old dad has suffered with trigeminal neuralgia since 2014. He was maxed out on gabapentin and carbamazepine. Even though he was on the highest doses of each that his neurologist would allow he was still having pain. Every so often I would get online and try to find something that would help him besides the 3 surgeries offered. He is nervous about trying a surgery since a surgery is what we believe caused this to begin with. He has esophagus cancer and they removed his esophagus. They cut him in his abdomen and across his neck and took it out completely. After the surgery we think the cut somehow damaged the nerve. I just received my order and I am so excited to try this especially after reading all the reviews. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia on both sides which I have been told that is not what is causing my pain because I also have SUNCT.
