Leucoderma (or achromia) is white spots and patches on the skin. Leucoderma is also known as vitiligo when it occurs with no preceding disease. It may begin with a small patch but slowly and steadily spreads throughout the body. Patches are typically seen around the lips and eyes, there may be a big patch on the chest (on one or both breasts). Symptoms of vitiligo include flat spots that range in color from white to pink to tan and brown appear over the upper arms, chest, back, neck and face. There is typically no itching, however a mild itch may be present in the area of the breast.
The condition in which white patches appears is known as leucoderma . There may be no obvious cause or it may result from skin disease or syphilis. The hereditary factor is some times associated though yet no exact cause has been determined but there are theories that suggest auto acute immune connection and hormonal connection. It cannot be called as a disease but a skin disorder where it loses its normal colouration. The patches may appear on face, neck, forehead, chest, around lips and eyes and one or both breasts. Homoeopathically to improve the immune or hormonal deficiency, leucoderma compositum may be helpful to get rid of these patches.
Adult: 10-15 drops, children half of the same, 3-4 times a day in some water or as prescribed by a Homoeopathic doctor.
